Day 331: Fishies & Friends

We woke up to another soppy, rainy day in SoCal, and Heidi, Tom, and I also woke up with sore throats. I didn't think we were going to make it for our planned date with Jakey and his mamas at the Aquarium of the Pacific, but Heidi and I cleaned ourselves up, grabbed a Starbucks, and made the 70-minute journey out to Long Beach. And I'm glad we did because walking around the aquarium was much better than staying at home and being sad and sick around the house. And LB, who was feeling fine after having given all of us her cold, loved rushing from exhibit to exhibit. Heidi and I hardly saw anything chasing after her, but LB was very excited and happy and cute.

LB loved the fish.
And she loved the sea lions.
And Jakey and LB both loved poking their little fingers in the tide pools.

And of course, LB also loved the lorikeets.
And the lorikeets' Xmas trees.
And touching a starfish.
She loved everything so much and had so much fun that she decided she was going to take her blankie (which she calls a "bink") and have a little nap next to the turtle's tank. She just needed a little refresher so that she could go and see all of her friends again.
She must have had another burst of energy once we returned home because she had a great little play with Auntie while waiting for dinner.

Making their funny faces.
