In the photo above are some of my fellow Scripps alumni. From left to right: Hope (holding her Alexandra), Moorea, Julianna (holding her Heikura), Kate, me, and Anita. We were also joined today by Hope's husband, Lex; Moorea's husband, Ted; Julianna's husband, John, and her other daughter, Te Ara; and of course, my Tom and Lilybeth. The reason for our little reunion was that Julianna and family (who live in Hawaii) were stopping over in LA on their way to Rapa Nui to visit family. Three years had passed since I last saw Julianna, and I think five or six since I last saw Kate (who was my roommate my first year at Scripps). Far too many years! I miss all my funny, smart, and just plain wonderful girlfriends! I'm just so inspired by them and so happy to see all of them doing so well.
And I also can't believe that in 2011 we'll be having our ten-year reunion. Yikes!
We call ourselves the "Kimbo Queens" because, during our senior year at Scripps, we all lived together in Kimberly Hall (except for Moorea who is an honorary "Queen"). It was a good year.
Here are a few more photos from the day.
The Kimbo Mamas (soon to be joined by Che!) Heikura really wants to get LB's little ponytail!

Little Te Ara, who's four years old now! LB really wanted her flower "baboon." Eventually Mama and Papa got her a little purple dog "baboon."

Little sweetheart. LB loved chasing her around, trying to catch her and the balloon. She loves her Kimbo sister!

John and Heikura. Heikura is about a month older than LB.

Anita and Kate.

Hope and her beautiful Alexandra. It's fun to drink out of the straw, isn't it?

LB enjoying her first French fry. Salt and grease, delish, right Kid? On the kid's menu, her meal was listed as "chicken breast, corn on the cob, and roasted potatoes." But when the meal arrived, the "roasted potatoes" turned out to be French fries. I think calling fries "roasted potatoes" is a bit of a stretch, but LB was happy.

She also enjoyed coloring in the kid's menu.

She must have had fun, because she fell asleep as soon as we got in the car to head home.

But she perked right up when we arrived home, and Papa said she could play with the hose.
Lovely! Thanks for posting photos from tne reunion!
