Day 234 (Thursday, 9/16): A Little Sleeping Beauty

LB must have had a busy time at daycare yesterday, because she fell asleep in the car on the way home. The drive home is only 20 minutes, so usually she'll stay awake, chatting away (probably telling Mama about her day) and looking out the window and straining her little neck to spot any trucks and buses. I was afraid the little snooze would mean she wouldn't be in bed at her usual time, but she had a big play at the park in the evening so she wore herself out. All of her little friends were about, including Sakura, and LB had fun chasing the older kids around and drinking out of the water fountain like them. She'd take a big drink and then look at me proudly as if to say, "See Mama, I'm a big girl now!"

When I picked her up from daycare Chrissy, Pam's daughter, told me a funny little story. She said that she had been reading the kids a book and that LB had been sitting right by her. Chrissy would read the words and then point out things in the picture. She said on one page, she forgot to point out the pictures. Apparently, LB did not like this, so she took Chrissy's hand and put it on the book, reminding her to point the pictures out!
