In the mailbox today, LB had a little treat waiting for her: a postcard from Great Grandma Mary. The last time LB saw her GG (and her uncles John and Michael, Great Uncle Frank, and second cousin Joe) was Thanksgiving 2009, and she'll be seeing them all again come this November (though I've heard rumors that Uncle Michael won't be joining us). In fact, Tom and I purchased our tickets to Washington earlier this week. The yearly Thanksgiving trip to Gramme's is a Lovejoy-Fordham Alliance tradition that predates Lilybeth, and Tom and I already counting down the days to it. After melting in today's 100-plus heat, we're definitely looking forward to some cold weather and lush green pines.
