Day 230: Tuckered Out

Earlier today, LB and Spiny enjoyed a midday nap at Grandpa and Grandma Lovejoy's. LB usually listens to a CD of lullabies when she is going to bed, but, even though I put the CD player and CD in the car, I forgot to give them to my parents when I dropped her off. G improvised by turning on the malt shop station, and LB drifted off to dreamland listening to Elvis and other such oldies but goodies. She also said "bed" this weekend, letting G know when she was ready to get in the cot and snuggle down.

Tom and I were anxious to see our little one once we returned, and she must have missed us as well because she was full of smiles for Mama and Papa this afternoon. She got straight to work piling her toys up on top of Papa.
She was also very excited to check out the status of her garden.
And I am feeling very revived after our little getaway. It was so nice to have a couple of days off this weekend. I've been feeling very stretched out these past few weeks, and I wish I could work it out so that I could have one day off a week, but unfortunately, that doesn't seem possible with the current workload.
