Day Ninety-One: Sleep, Eat, Play

LB, who decided to wake up today at 4 AM, had a little 20 minute snooze around 8 AM in Mama and Papa's bed. It's so rare that she sleeps in our bed now. When she was first born, we began co-sleeping with her, and I absolutely loved it. I think it helped us get a lot of sleep during her newborn months, it made night nursing a lot easier, and she was just the sweetest, cuddliest little thing. She would always snuggle into the crook of my arm, and she knew her place was right up against Mama.

But when she was about 7 months old--actually, around the time I started this blog--she just would not go to sleep in our bed anymore. I think this was also around the time she became more aware of her surroundings, and she probably realized that Papa was also in the bed, so why go back to sleep when she could be playing with him? Now, she always sleeps in her crib. When she wakes up at night, she has a little cuddle and a nurse in our bed and then goes back in her own. I am glad she is in her own bed now, but I do look very fondly back on her early days.

The next picture is of her huge, new bib. She can put her arms out of it; she just isn't in the photo. I've absolutely had it with rubbing food stains out of her clothes. Hopefully this bib will help.
And finally, a new little sand pit.
