LB & I decided to get the hell out of Dodge today, and so we went to Huntington Beach, not the most picturesque of beaches (you may notice that brown haze in the photo), but my friend Vanessa, whom I've know since I was about 9 and in the 5th grade, lives nearby, so we met up for lunch and ice cream. I've been feeling a bit stir-crazy lately, and I don't think my condition has been helped by my constant posting of pictures from around the house. Also, I needed to get away before I go on lockdown for the next month so that I can finish up my chapter and get some research in before our trip to Australia.
LB seemed to enjoy her day out, especially just relaxing on the beach and letting the sand run through her sweet little hands. She was enjoying the latter activity so much that when I told her it was time to go and I picked her up, she threw quite the little tantrum. Maybe we should get her a little sandbox.
