Day Sixty-Four: Little Bug

This is how my little bug wanted to sit today while reading books, perfectly happy and lazy, and she had no desire whatsoever to help me turn the pages. It was a hot afternoon here, so I think the weather made both of us feel a bit slack. I was feeling burnt out while I plugged away at my chapter. But I slowly plugged away. That's what's important.

And here's Lilybeth with her favorite toy at the moment, this little pink bug. I think it's adorable how she goes through phases of liking some toys more than others. She seems to be drawn to this one because of its spindly, dangly legs and round feet. She pulls on the legs and stretches it out, or she likes to suck on the feet. Today she stood up while holding it in her mouth by one of its legs. Very cute. Tom thought it was a spider, but now he is certain it's a ladybug. It's just a hodgepodge of bug, I guess.
She also played a game of peek-a-boo today with her glowworm, who is also featured in the picture above. She would put the blanket over the worm's face and then take it off again, put it back, take it off. I provided the "peek-a-boos."
