It seems she recently figured out how to point, but I didn't realize that she was intentionally pointing at anything; I thought she was just making the gesture. During dinner, however, she kept very clearly and determinedly pointing up to the cupboard with the food in it until I realized that she was, in fact, pointing at the container of puffs (G calls them "puffers"). Right now her favorite things to eat in the whole world are puffers and slices of banana. (Although yesterday, I did give her some pieces of steamed carrot which she loved, so I'm thinking she really just likes to eat things she can feed herself).
She would have a bite of her dinner, look up to the cupboard, and point again. Have another bite, point. It was so funny. I brought the puffs down to the table, just to test if they were actually what she was pointing at, and, as you can see from the photo, they were. I'm not big on her having puffs at dinner, but of course I had to give her a few. When I told Tom the story, he said she was doing the same thing at breakfast, and he gave her some as well. It looks like we'll now have to hide the puffers better or keep the cupboard door closed.
