Day 201: New Car!

The Lovejoy-Fordham Alliance is very excited by its latest addition: our new 2010 Toyota Rav4! We had been planning on buying a used car, but we got such a good deal on this one, that we didn't want to pass it up, especially since we plan on having the car for the next 10+ years. The dealership where we purchased it had just gotten in the new 2011 models, and they were desperate to be rid of the older models, so we did get a little bit knocked off the price, along with a few other perks. Tom had read that right now is prime car buying season as most new models come out in September and car lots don't want the older ones just sittin' around.

We've only had it for a few hours but are loving it so far. Tom and I both want to take a little summer road trip!

And here's our other car, our little 2003 Toyota Corolla (the 'rolla, as Tom says), that I purchased used in 2004. It has served us well, and it is now going to be Tom's car, which he'll mostly use for getting to and from work. LB and I will be cruising around in the Rav.
