Sunday evening has already arrived again, which means our weekend is nearly over. This one seemed to fly by. I started off today bright and early with a run and then hopped on over to my favorite R-side coffee shop, Coffee Roasters, where I got in three hours of writing and research (thanks to G for watching LB). I began the diss session with my daily 20-minutes of writing, which went so well that I actually wrote for two hours and got six pages done! I don't have much hope for the quality of those pages, but hey, it's a start, right? As writing scholar Peter Elbow might say, it was a bit of first-order-thinking writing: some free writing without concern for structure, transitions, and such. Just gettin' my thoughts down. After all my work, I headed over to the salon for a haircut and to have my highlights retouched by my favorite stylist, Ariel, who does wonders with naturally curly hair like mine. Actually, I want to grow my hair out a bit more, so I just had a trim instead of a big cut, but I did have a bit of red mixed in with my usual blond highlights. Thought I'd change it up a bit. I do like how the color came out. Well done, Ariel!
When I returned from the salon, the Lovejoy-Fordham Alliance's took its usual long and ambling Sunday evening walk. Then home, dinner, some skyping with the Aussie relatives, bath, bed for Miss Lilybeth Mary, and some dinner and wine for the adults.
