Our first picture today is of Lilybeth and her pal Jake enjoying the swings at Ocean View Park in Santa Monica. Since I'm "sort of" on summer break at the moment (in other words, I have a break between classes), Tom and thought we'd take a day off, and we went to visit Jake and his mamas. We had a delicious little picnic in the park, where the babies enjoyed some teething biscuits. I like the first picture below; Jake looks so sneaky eating his biscuit!
Jake enjoyed the grassy park, but LB seemed a bit sooky. She only wanted to stay on the blanket next to Mama. I got a few cuddles out of her though, so it was all good.
When we returned to Riverside, we had a big grocery shop for the week and then took LB to our own little community park, where she seemed much more playful. I had such a wonderful day with my family and friends; as I was telling Tom, we really need to have more days like today. I have to finish my dissertation so that I can feel like I am able to relax on the weekends. Just a bit longer . . .
