Day 119 (Monday, 5/24): Melbourne

This is my third trip to Australia, so we decided to check out a city other than Brisbane. We selected Melbourne, though I can't remember why exactly. Not that I'm complaining. Melbourne is a very pretty city and very diverse, especially (as far as I can tell) when compared to Brisbane. It seems to have a large Asian and Asian Australian population, which I've heard before on a travel show, and our hotel is near Chinatown. In fact, that photo above is of the gorgeous view from our balcony. I'm loving these apartment-style hotels, which seem to be very common in Australia but not so much in the States. Lilybeth can nap in the bedroom, and Mama and Papa can hang out in the lounge without fear of waking her.

Our first day in Melbourne was very uneventful. We arrived at about 12:30 PM, it was raining, and I had developed a migraine. We took a quick little stroll, found a "Woolies" where we purchased some baby food, and I was in bed by 6:30. The picture below is of LB having a little bounce on the bed before it's time to turn in. Grandma Lovejoy bought her the "kanga" shirt especially for her Aussie trip.
