Day 100: Day One Hundred!!

Not only is today my hundredth day of blogging, but we also had another little milestone. LB moved up from Level Two into Level Three at Gymboree. The classes are based on age not on any kind of developmental markers, so since she's turning 11 months on Thursday, it was time for her to move on. Today, she was the only baby in class who wasn't walking but that was okay because she still had loads of fun. She gets so excited now when the instructor brings out the Gymbo doll--the company's mascot. She laughs and points and lets out some very loud squeals of excitement.

In the photo above, she's getting ready to head off to class, and she's so happy since it seems Woolly Cat is also coming along. Though he stayed in the car during class. The last thing we want is a lost Woolly Cat. Also, in the photo above, you can see her third tooth coming in. She is definitely not teething according to the "normal" patterns because she now has three teeth along the bottom, and it looks like she is finally getting one on the top too, but it's off to the side, not in the top middle, which I guess is usually where the third and fourth teeth pop up.

And below, she's enjoying some Gymboree bubbles.

As for my own reflections on reaching a hundred days of blogging . . . overall, I think the blog is going well. It's a nice scrapbook for remembering her baby days, though I do wish I had started it earlier. I also often wish that I could write more--and when I do my postings, I usually have more in my head that I want to say--but, since this blog is the last thing I do in the day (it's my little ritual for ending the day), I often only have enough energy to post up the picture. I wish I would reflect a bit more on how the dissertation is going and how I see my parenting and writing as coming together/interacting. Maybe thinking more about these two things can be a goal for the next 100 days?

Writing the blog has also inspired me to be a blog reader, so I now have several blogs I follow. And when I finish with this project, I think I'll start another blog, maybe on writing or parenting but definitely one that does not require a post everyday!

It's about 10:20 now, so I better get off to bed soon, but I'm just going to have one more little sip of wine . . . Here's to the next 265 days! Cheers!
