Grandma gave Lilybeth this caterpillar balloon a few weeks ago, and as happens with all balloons, it became very deflated and sad looking, so I told her today was the day we had to say "bye" and put him in the trash. I don't think she quite understood what I said, but she did become suddenly very interested in him. Maybe because she saw me looking at him? At any rate, she played with him on and off all day and even managed to wrap his ribbon around her waist, so that she could pull him along after her, as she's doing in the picture above. It was like she was trying to say, "No, Mom, you can't throw him away!! He's my favorite toy!! See!! See! I'm playing with him!" Unfortunately for her, it really was time for him to go and so he found his way into the bin by the end of the day.
My mom took this family photo on Saturday morning. I don't think I have many family photos posted here yet, so I thought I'd add this one, especially as I really like it.
