Day 108: Mac n' Cheese

For lunch today, LB enjoyed what I assume is probably a staple of an American childhood, mac n' cheese. I'm a big fan myself, and when there is nothing else around the house for lunch that is appealing, like today, mac n' cheese is a good go-to food. She loved eating the noodles: she'd put one in her mouth and then slurp it down.

Mmmmmm, that's good!
I also have a few pictures from yesterday, taken by Jung. While we were at Scripps, I ran into my old advisor, Dr. Peavoy. Dr. Peavoy is a great teacher and was a wonderful mentor to me, and he also epitomizes the typical stereotype people tend to have of an English professor, right down to the tweed jacket with elbow patches and the pipe. I was very happy to see him, but, as you can see from the picture, LB seemed . . . well . . . horrified. He even said he'd give her an "A," maybe even an "A+" if she wrote a paper, but she was not interested.

The only thing to calm the poor dear down was a bit of milk and a cuddle, so I stripped down (after Dr. Peavoy had left, of course). She likes to nurse sitting up now, which makes public nursing even less fun for me.
