I think the interview went okay. I didn't blow them out of the water but I also didn't completely bomb it either. I don't know. I'm trying not to think about it at the moment because I don't want to pick over every little thing I said and worry over it. It is a done deal at this point. Also, the interview was definitely a first-round interview, and, from my conversations with the receptionist, it sounded like twelve other people were being interviewed. So I may be buying myself another trip to Phoenix for a second round, or I may get to save my money.
But I will say that I liked the college, and I could definitely see myself teaching there. The campus had a very Arizona feel: lots of cactus gardens and sandy brown buildings.
And as for LB, she did not have the best day. In the morning, Papa dropped her off at Miss Pam's house and then went to work; however, not long after that, he got a call from Pam saying that she was running a fever. Two kids at the daycare recently came down with whooping cough, and so everyone has been a bit nervous about sick bubbahs lately. LB did get her whooping cough vaccine, but apparently there is a new strain out there that is immune to the vaccine. So Tom took LB to the pediatrician, where she had to get a nasal swab, which she did not like at all. But poor Tom liked it even less as he had to restrain her while the doctor performed it. As I'm sure all the parents out there know, seeing your kid in pain and crying is not a fun experience. The results for the swab aren't in yet, but the doc said it looked liked she probably just had a cold. So LB had a bit of Tylenol, and by the time I arrived home, was in much better spirits and busy at work giving Lisa some milk and playing her new most favorite favorite game in the world: "Ring around the Rosie."
