Day 305: "Bye, Mikey" & "Hello, Pup!"

This morning we had to say "bye" to Uncle Mikey who headed back to Pullman, WA, bright and early. Mikey attends Washington State University. He has a test on Monday; one of his last ones since he's graduating on 12/11!
This isn't the greatest picture (quality-wise), but LB is giving her uncle an Xmas present.
We've also been sharing the house this Thanksgiving trip with two dogs: Gramme's beloved Hannah, the beagle pictured on Wednesday's blog, and Cleo, the miniature pincher below that Gramme is watching for Uncle Frank. As many of my family members will attest to, Cleo is both the noisiest and stinkiest dog in existence. She has a very high-pitched yappy bark, and she barks constantly. Her breath is also terrible. It's bad even for a dog. Sometimes, when she's across the room barking loudly, I can smell her breath in this awful wave of stink coming toward wherever I'm sitting. It's nasty.
And although Gramme is smiling at Cleo in the photo above, she is perpetually trying to give her away. She's already tried to give her several times to Tom and me, claiming that LB absolutely loves Cleo. I won't deny that LB is very fond of Cleo, but I'm still not taking her. LB is a big fan of all dogs, and every time she sees Hannah and Cleo she cries out enthusiastically, "Hi, Pup!" It's absolutely adorable, and since she sees them constantly all day, I get to hear her sweet little voice saying "Hi, Pup! Hi, Pup!" every few minutes.
We also had some rainy weather today, and all of our gorgeous snow melted away, as you can see with this picture I took of the neighbor's house.
Tom's army of snowmen, however, survived for a surprisingly long time.
And the last pic this evening is of LB getting ready for bed with her blankie and Spiny.
