Day 304: Happy Thanksgiving!

There are lots and lots of pictures today because I had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and so I had many happy moments to document. Tom arrived today from Riverside in the morning, and we had a late lunch featuring all the usual Thanksgiving traditions: turkey, stuffing, candied yams, cranberry sauce, green beans, peas, broccoli, mashed potatoes, gravy, and rolls. Gramme cooked nearly the entire meal! Mikey did a large portion as well, making the mashed potatoes, washing the dishes, and then serving the dessert. I got away with only making the gravy and the candied yams. That's LB's little serving above.

Unfortunately, she did not eat much of it, which is a shame because everything I tried was absolutely delish, and all the meat-eaters were raving about how perfect Gramme's turkey was.
LB was napping while most of us ate, but Uncle John hung around the table to keep her and me company while she poked at her food. Here he is looking very handsome.
Fordham, meanwhile, took a traditional Thanksgiving post-meal snooze on the couch.
After the meal, we enjoyed the usual Thanksgiving desserts: pumpkin pie, apple pie, and ice cream. LB had her first taste of all three, and she was very, very partial to the ice cream (see below).
And after dessert, we had a little photo shoot with the uncles and my cousin Joe. Now that I've got John and Michael on the blog, all six of the Lovejoy kids have been featured.
LB is still a bit fussy around her uncles.

Joe, John, and Michael.
Today was also a bit "warmer," and so we enjoyed the snow a little longer.
I love these pics of LB and me that Uncle Frank took.

I wish I could capture just how absolutely breathtaking it is here. Tom and I would love to move to G.G.'s little town of Rochester, WA.

The neighbor's idyllic little house.
Hey, John.
Some of G.G.'s little plant pots covered in the snow.

After our play outside, Tom had his ice cream, and LB was very interested in helping him eat it.

"Hey, Papa! Don't forget about my bite!"

"Papa! I said don't eat it all!"

"That bite was too big!!"
"Maybe if I smile, he'll give me some."
Later in the evening, LB had a great little play. She colored with her Great Uncle Frank,

and changed dolly's diapers. This last activity was not so much play as a very serious undertaking. She even put down the changing pad for dolly and got a new diaper.
Of course, in order to change the diaper, she had to take off all of the dolly's clothes.
