Day 177: Puttin' My Feet Up

Today was the last day of summer session, and I was very happy to come home after class and put my feet up--in my favorite pair of heels, no less! I'm getting their final projects on Friday, so I still have lots of work to do for the course. Overall, I think the class went okay. It was an upper-division course (the first I've ever taught). I'd also had a bit of time off from teaching, so I needed to get back in the game, so to speak. I think both of these factors gave me a bit of extra anxiety, and I probably stressed over the course more than I needed to. But it's over now, and one of my students came to my office this afternoon and said she was sad the course was over because she enjoyed it so much--I guess it wasn't all that bad then!

Tom and I went out for a little celebratory dinner. We were going to go to one of my favorite Riverside eateries, the Spanish restaurant, Sevilla, but when we arrived there was a bit of a wait (in Riverside!? On a Wednesday night!?) I didn't want to be too long since G had to get home, so we ended up going to an Applebee's down the street. Meh. Tom owes me a date at Sevilla.
