Once again, there is not much to update. Lilybeth finished eating the rails of her crib and has moved on to the slats. And I found out that I'll be teaching at UCR this summer, which is good news for several reasons, but most especially because it means we'll be able to get our tickets to Australia at Xmas without poking into our savings! We'll have to buy a third ticket for the trip since LB will be 2 1/2. Going to Oz at Xmas this year began as just a little kernel in my head during the past Xmas. After seeing photos of little Sophie enjoying her Xmas morning, I felt a bit sad that the cousins couldn't have a Xmas morning together, playing with their toys and generally looking adorable and sweet. Tom's already got a week off at Xmas, and hopefully he'll be able to build up some more time off. It's all very, very exciting.
But Xmas is a long ways off, and we seem to be having a very hectic and busy February. Today was especially draining. LB is still recovering from her cold, and she woke up at 5 AM. I could tell she didn't really want to get out of bed, but she just felt poorly, so instead she sat on the couch looking pitiful.

After Papa left for work, we headed downtown to return her library books. Here, she's checking out one of the fountains,

and here she's mad because I told her she couldn't run through it.

But it all worked out in the end because she got to draw on the library's chalkboard.
Oh My, Oh My, you're coming for Christmas!!!! I have tears, I can't wait. Now it will be just the fight of do we get you sleeping at our house on Christmas Eve (for Christmas morning wake ups) or will Annie & Teddie prevail....maybe we'll just have to have EVERYONE sleep over. I'm so excited already.
