Day 357: Family Playdate

Tom and I were very happy to welcome back our sweet baby girl. We were also very pleased with the warm weather--80 degrees! I do love a SoCal winter. LB and Papa headed straight outside, hung up the laundry, and then had a walk/bicycle ride before her nap. I will admit I was jealous as I spent most of the day lesson planning, but at about 4 PM we decided we needed to share the great weather together and headed over to Andulka Park (the new Riverside park that LB and I checked out on December 8th). Andulka has a couple of pretty picnic pavilions, and I'm already wondering if I should look into booking one for her 2nd b-day.

I can't believe how big she looks in these next two photos. Is she growing by the minute?

After our play in the park, we headed over to Best Thai Cuisine, one of our favorite Riverside eateries, for some egg rolls (yum),
Thai iced tea (yum),
pineapple fried rice (my favorite),
and yellow curry with tofu (my other favorite).
Obviously Tom and LB were very pleased with their supper.
Once we were back home, it was time for some cuddles and stories on the couch with Papa.
This photo would be gorgeous . . . if it weren't for the big shadow down the side.
Overall, I'd say we had some quality family time.

And, in honor of the holiday, I'll just end today with some words from Martin Luther King, Jr.

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.

Well said.
