Tom and I were very happy to welcome back our sweet baby girl. We were also very pleased with the warm weather--80 degrees! I do love a SoCal winter. LB and Papa headed straight outside, hung up the laundry, and then had a walk/bicycle ride before her nap. I will admit I was jealous as I spent most of the day lesson planning, but at about 4 PM we decided we needed to share the great weather together and headed over to Andulka Park (the new Riverside park that LB and I checked out on December 8th). Andulka has a couple of pretty picnic pavilions, and I'm already wondering if I should look into booking one for her 2nd b-day. I can't believe how big she looks in these next two photos. Is she growing by the minute?
pineapple fried rice (my favorite),
Overall, I'd say we had some quality family time. And, in honor of the holiday, I'll just end today with some words from Martin Luther King, Jr.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
Well said.
