Day 342: So Long, Holidays!

I like to leave the Christmas tree up until after New Year's Eve, and so today we took her down, officially marking the end of our holiday period. I thought LB would be upset about the tree moving out. For the past few weeks, the first thing she has done every morning has been to ask for the tree lights to be turned on. But she seemed more upset that I wouldn't let her wrap up some of the glass ornaments. Though when Tom took the tree out, she did look out of the door and say, "Woo-hoo?" In Lilybeth-speak "woo-hoo?" means "Where are you?" as in "Papa, woo-hoo?" "Mama, woo-hoo?" "Juice, woo-hoo?" "Bink, woo-hoo?" I think G may have taught her "woo-hoo."

Tom and I are both back to work tomorrow. I'll be teaching one course at UC Riverside on M, W, and F. Less teaching = more dissertation.
