The Lovejoy-Fordham Alliance hopes that everyone is enjoying the holiday season!
We had a wonderful little Christmas as Gramme's house in Rochester, WA. Uncle Frank, Joe, and John joined us. LB knows her Uncle John, and as soon as she saw him, she ran up to him, calling his name. He's definitely her new besty! On Xmas Eve, we had dinner at the Great Wolf Lodge, and here the pair are posing in front of the Xmas display:
Here she is holding Uncle John's hand as they exit the restaurant:
And she insisted that Uncle John carry her to and from the car. John loves his little niece, so he didn't mind having LB permanently attached to him.
Here we are partaking in a Lovejoy family Xmas Eve tradition: the reading of Twas the Night before Christmas.
And in the morning, we awoke to snow! A white Christmas! It was just a light dusting and mostly melted off by noon. But still, it was nice to wake up to.
When LB woke up, I asked her if she thought Santa had come. She said, "Yes. I hear some jingles last night!" Little cutie!
Here she is enjoying her first Xmas chocolate of the day:
Gramme, dressed in her Xmas sweater, enjoyed her Xmas-morning chocolate croissant:
All dressed up and waiting to open pressies:
On Lilybeth's wishlist this year were two items: the Princess Aurora baby doll and the LeapFrog Violet doll. She referred to the Aurora doll as "The pink princess doll with a heart crown and has hearts on her and is sparkly." Fortunately, I knew what she was talking about because I was at the store when she first saw it and became obsessed with it. Thank you to Grandma and Grandpa Lovejoy for sending it! As you can tell from the photos, it was exactly the one she wanted.
She called Violet "the purple puppy dog," and I knew what she was talking about because she saw a picture of it in an ad and has been talking about it for months. I told her that it might come for Xmas, and finally, it has. Violet can be programmed to say a child's name, but unfortunately, "Lilybeth" is not on the list of programmable names. I think LB is a little disappointed in this, but she does love playing Violet's lullabies and cuddling her new toys.

Hannah did not want to wake up to open her pressie.
After pressie opening, John and I slipped off to the movies, where we saw Les Miserables. It was so good! Anne Hathaway is fabulous as Fantine, and overall the music is great. I recommend it to everyone.
And, finally, a game of Scattergories to finish up the day. It looks like someone has had enough Xmas and is ready for bed.
