"Where a Kid Can Be a Kid"

Winter break has finally arrived, and I've been enjoying the extra time with my little girl. On Sunday, we decided to head south to Silverdale for a little Christmas shopping. LB got dressed up, trying out her stripy socks from G. She found them in an Xmas pressie that she decided to open early while Mama and Papa were busy and not paying attention to what she was doing by the Xmas tree. Little monkey!
As part of the day out, we had a late lunch at Chuck E. Cheese's, where LB enjoyed pizza and games.
But it was on the way home that the real adventure began. About an hour outside of Port Angeles, we ran into snow. To make a long story short, we got stuck up on the 20W for about two hours waiting for a snow plow to arrive. It was a bit scary, but we had plenty of company on the road. LB didn't mind the wait because we played cards, and I let her have a Trader Joe's cookie. Here's a couple of low-quality shots of snow building up on the windows.

Yikes! Midnight! I better get to bed!
