This week's new dish is the Nashi and Nut Salad. I found it in one of my vegetarian cookbooks in the chapter entitled "Salads That Make a Meal." I was inspired to give it a try because the salad needed nashi (also known as Asian pear or apple-pear), which is one of my favorite fruits, and peaches, which are deliciously in season. The nuts were macadamias (my favorite nut!), but we used cashews this time. On top, we sprinkled a sweet chili dressing and toasted sesame seeds. It was definitely a yummy salad but definitely not a meal. I was poking around the kitchen a couple of hours later, hoping to find something more to eat. Maybe it will make a good side salad if we decide to give it a try again.
And LB did not want to have her pic taken this evening.

But she didn't mind if Papa was silly with her for the camera.
Helen, when LB is like 13, she is going to be SOOO mad at you for posting the picture of her with her eyes closed online! Hahaha! I love it!
ReplyDeleteAlso, is that the dress we got her???
