Not Quite

And there it is, all 155 pages of my dissertation, waiting for its revision and editing (and its conclusion). I can't believe it's nearly done! Or that the draft is nearly done, at least.

And for the LB update: here she is this morning eating breakfast and watching Sesame Street.
Ever since she turned two and gets to sit on the big-kid benches during lunch at daycare, Miss LB has decided that she no longer has to sit in her highchair at breakfast. She made her point clear when she very determinedly and with much effort pushed the highchair from the living room and back into the kitchen and then pushed it into its spot at the table. She did this two days in a row and so made her point and won her breakfast spot on the couch, which is usually where Tom and I eat breakfast. We used to scarf down the morning meal while watching the news or sports channel, but now we all watch Elmo and friends. And LB will still sit in the highchair when we all have dinner at the table together, or when she and I eat lunch at the table together.

Eating breakfast on the couch also has the advantage that if you get tired during the meal, you can lay down on the cushions and have a little break, which is what I found LB doing when I went to check on her. I asked her if she was done, and she said, "No, not quite," and then sat up to continue eating.

Needless to say, our couch isn't getting any cleaner with a two year old enjoying her meals on it, especially when she has something like this morning:
orange slices, blueberries, multi-grain O's, and yogurt.

Yogurt face!
And never have Tom and I been prouder of our wee creation because look at this:
She is simultaneously picking her nose and eating an orange slice! Yes! Such enviable talent!

Finally, one last photo. Papa fixed her hair last week before daycare. It looked very cute.
