One More Celebration

LB got some nice kisses from Papa at the dinner table tonight. My two sweet and funny darlings . . .
And LB also had one last birthday celebration today, this one held at Ms. Pam's house. Three days of birthday?! She is one lucky little girl!

When I dropped her off at daycare this morning, I took along a loaf of strawberry-banana bread and a loaf of blueberry bread as a birthday treat for her to share with her friends. No, I didn't bake them myself, but instead bought them from the "bread man" who is always at the farmers' market on Saturday morning. They were apparently a big hit with the kiddies, many of whom were asking for second slices. That makes me happy. And LB had a great time blowing out candles on the bread (which I think is really very cake-like) and getting a lovely gift from Ms. Pam and Ms. Chrissy. . .

a new cup and plate set with some pretty decorations.
Along with her special treat and gift, Chrissy said that she also got to go first on all of the day's activities and that all of her little friends kept wishing her a "Happy Birthday." Chrissy said that she was very pleased and happy all day. And tonight, I served dinner up on her new daycare plate:
On tonight's menu is a quick-and-easy dinner for the working parents: fish tacos (cheese, tortilla, cabbage, fish, and Tom and I also had Trader Joe's tarter sauce with dill and jalapeno), plus beet slices and blueberries on the side.

And actually, LB has another little birthday treat coming to her since we're still waiting for Auntie Heidi's present to arrive.
