LB had a great weekend, especially since her favorite buddy G was around. Actually, LB has started calling G "Grandma" now. Lately, when I say "G" she'll even correct me with a "Grandma." Little smarty pants!

I'm just so amazed by how much my little girl is chatting away! I especially love to hear her little songs and stories and when she makes up or imagines things. This weekend, while on a walk with Grandma, the pair spotted an unfortunate bird whose wing was broken. Grandma said that Lilybeth ran after the bird, but that Grandma of course would not let her get near it and told her not to chase the poor thing because it was sick with a broken wing. When they arrived home, LB was excited to tell Mama and Papa about it, but her story went something like this: "Bird. Sick. Broke. I chase. I kiss it. Fix it." My dear Lilybeth, so concerned about the poor little bird. I love that she's such a strong believer in the healing power of a kiss! And what a great tall tale.
Lilybeth had her two-year check up last week, and it seems our big girl is doing well. She now weighs 31 pounds and 2 ounces and is almost three feet tall! And her head is 19 inches in circumference.
Wow. I think she is going to be tall like Fordham.
