Spring Break 2013: La Push, WA!

LB and I have been on spring break this past week. Since Tom still worked Mon-Thurs, we didn't have much of an opportunity to get away, but we did escape for a night to La Push, WA, which is an hour and a half west of PA, and rented a cabin at the Quileute Oceanside Resort. The Resort is on tribal land belonging to the Quileute Nation and so the profits of the Resort go back into the community.

Our little cabin had a gorgeous view of the water:

Here's LB's room. She slept like a log, cuddled under the big, white comforter with only a few wisps of blond hair sticking out. She went down at 9:30, and we didn't hear a peep from her until 8 am the next morning. I wish we could repeat that at home.
A few pictures by LB of her friends:

A few pictures of my perfect loves:
Beautiful cuddles:
A huge tree trunk that had washed up on the shore:
Off in the distance is James Island, also known as Akalat in the Quileute language. Until the 1850s, there was a village on the island, and after that it was used for growing crops and as a burial ground for tribal leaders.

And a happy little beach-goer:
