Lilybeth and I had meant to spend the long weekend at GG's house in Olympia, but GG has not been feeling well and asked us to come in a few weeks instead.
Not wanting to miss out on the beauty of a long weekend, LB and I decided to have a mother-daughter day trip to Port Townsend. We started with a little shopping and then had lunch at the Public House Grill. Here's my beautiful little lunch date with her fairy horses:
The restaurant had butcher paper and crayons on the table, and so LB drew pictures, including the one below. It's a picture of waves with a little boat. Lilybeth is riding in the boat and the orange dots are little fish. She said she had a dream about her little boat!
Afterwards, we had a play in the park:
And then a stop for ice cream. LB was *thrilled* to ride the green buffalo at Elevated Ice Cream.
And, finally, to the beach. No matter the weather--sun, partial sun, or no sun--LB is always very happy to find herself in the sand.
