"The True Meaning of Life . . ."

 

The above plaque is located along the little section of the Olympic Discovery Trail that the Lovejoy-Fordham Alliance explored today. I love the quote at the top.

It was a good, PA day for getting out and about. When we left the house, the sun was actually shining! But while we were on the trail, the clouds rolled in and eventually opened up so that in the last bit of our walk we had to rush back in the rain to the car.

We hiked this portion of the trail a couple of weeks ago and saw a bald eagle! The trail was a bit busier today, and so we had no such luck with the bald-eagle spotting.

 This trail reminds me of one I used to run when I was studying abroad in England. The University of East Anglia had a lake with a trail around it. I must have run that trail every day (that is if the rain wasn't coming down!) Good memories!
