A Whale of a Good Time

We headed to Port Townsend today because Uncle Tony was treating us all to a whale-watching tour. Unfortunately, we didn't see any whales on the tour (though we saw some seals, sea lions, and plenty of birds, including two bald eagles); however, we had a gorgeous day in PT where the weather was perfect and sunny.

You can just make out Nannie and Poppie on the pier in the photo below.
We started off the visit with a trip to the park.
Followed by lunch at Dogs-a-Foot, a cute little hotdog stand.
I had the Veggie Delight: a jumbo veggie dog with Thai chili, fried onions, spicy mustard, and peppers. So good and so spicy!
Lunch was followed by a little jot around downtown PT and a sweet treat at Elevated Ice Cream.
Nannie and her new hat: she reckons it makes her look like the queen.
Down by the harbor, waiting for our tour boat.
LB was so excited about the boat, she could hardly contain herself and performed a happy dance.
Our boat! Our boat!
She loved it!

Nannie and Poppie sharing a moment on the boat.
LB pretending to have binoculars.
And LB buggered.
After the tour, we had dinner at Manresa Castle, famous for its crab cakes and resident ghosts.
LB tiptoeing around the garden.
