Easter Festivities!

LB and I are at GG's house this weekend, celebrating Easter and enjoying a few holiday traditions. We kicked things off bright and early with some sugar cookie baking.

And while we were waiting for the cookies to cool, we headed off to a local Easter egg hunt. Here's LB in her new Easter dress. So sweet!

Waiting with Mama for the hunt to start:

There were so many kids at the hunt! This hunt was for kids under 5, and I thought the organizers would set some ground rules, like every kid gets two eggs or the parents aren't allowed to help. But no, when it was time to start, it was everyone for themselves! Apparently, I'm not pushy enough because I only managed to get one egg in LB's basket. Actually, I thought one egg was plenty for her since the eggs had candy in them. However, a little girl who managed to get a huge basket of eggs, came and put two in LB's basket, which was sweet of her. LB was very pleased with her haul.
After the egg hunt, it was nap time, and after nap time, it was cookie-decorating time.
Followed shortly, of course, by cookie-eating time.

This is what happens when 2-year-olds decorate cookies. Lots of sprinkles:
Later in the afternoon, LB and GG went for a walk and brought me back some beautiful flowers.

And finally, egg decorating time!

Great Uncle Frank even got in on the action:

It was hard for LB to look at the camera and smile because she was so busy monitoring the eggs.

Letting them dry:
Green fingers!
