Now that summer vacation has arrived on the Olympic Peninsula and for the Lovejoy-Fordham Alliance, I have time to catch up on my blogging! And boy am I behind!
Back at the beginning of April, during spring break, we had a visit from G. G, LB, and I took a road trip to Wenatchee, WA, to visit Donald and John, who are both working there for AmeriCorps (though not for much longer--their terms both end on 7/15. Donald is heading to Reno to continue his AmeriCorp work while John is off to Rwanda to do a two-year stint with the PeaceCorps!)
But here are some pictures from our happy April visit.
Here we are at the confluence of the Wenatchee and Columbia Rivers.
Having a little play at the park nearby.
Wenatchee is a short, 20-minute drive from Leavenworth, WA, a little Bavarian village. We spent a morning there, poking around the shops, before meeting Donald for lunch.
Hanging out in our favorite shop--the Christmas shop!
So many things to admire and wonder over in the shop!
We also went by Donald's work. He's working at a small school/outdoor center for adults with learning disabilities. This guy does good work!
LB & her cat school picture.
We also had a stop by a playground/petting zoo.
Donald was taller than the maze.
And a nice dinner out.
What great pictures!!! Thanks for sharing them Helen! Miss you guys and love you so much!!!
