Today was the last official day of summer for me. After the weekend, it's back to school on Monday for in-service week and back to classes the following week. I am looking forward to the start of fall quarter, but I wanted to take full advantage of this final day, especially as the weather was so gorgeous. So Tom and I dropped LB off at school in the morning, then headed into the Olympic National Park for that 3.7 mile hike to Lake Angeles.
I love this natural bridge.
The trip to the lake was mostly uphill and mostly looked like this:
I was energized for the hike!
And I was very sweaty by the time we arrived at the lake.
Here are a few more Olympic National Park hikes that Tom and I need to do.
The hike took about 2 1/2 hours, and afterwards, we had lunch at the Chestnut Cottage and then I headed off to school to work on my American lit course's syllabus. Let the fall quarter begin!
