The Olympic Peninsula was filled with sunshine this weekend, and LB and I spent it outdoors. On Saturday, we headed down to Hollywood Beach for a couple of hours in the sun, and on Sunday, we met up with friends for a hike to Sol Duc falls, followed by a dip in the local hot springs. We could not entice Papa out as he is not a hot springs fan. But perhaps once the weather heats up, he'll join us for a dip in the freshwater pool, which is chlorinated to his satisfaction.
Here's LB heading up the trail and exploring with friends.
Taking it all in:
A treasure discovered in the woods:
Time for lunch!
And back on the trail:
And finally, a dip in the springs! The mineral water pools' temperatures
varied. Here, LB is relaxing in the pool that was at 94 degrees, but the
other pools were at 102 and 104. The freshwater pool was at a cool 57
today.
