It's been a very quiet blog this month because there is nothing much new with us. Just more and more of the same (which is just fine with us).
The most exciting November event thus far has been the election. Here are LB and I cuddling in our little couch nest and watching the results roll in:
Although I know that he wasn't the choice of some of our family and friends, the Lovejoy-Fordham Alliance was happy to see President Obama win re-election. It's funny to think that last time he was elected, I was barely pregnant with Lilybeth. We didn't even know we were having a she. Time really does fly.
When Tom asked LB, "Who's Obama?" LB replied, "He's a baseball team." I don't know what's more impressive: being president or being a baseball team.
We were also happy to see Jay Inslee elected the new governor of Washington State, and we were most excited to see same-sex marriage approved in our new home state. Go, WA!
And fast forward to today. Tom and I prepared for the upcoming work week by cooking a couple of our favorite fall dishes: pumpkin and broccoli soup and pumpkin cookies. Here's the local and organic pumpkin ready for the soup:

And in between the cooking, making funny faces at Poppie over Skype:
