Sequim Irrigation Festival

We had a wonderful, sunny little Saturday. The weather was perfect in the 70s, and LB and I headed about 20 minutes south of Port Angeles to Sequim, WA, where the annual Sequim Irrigation Festival was in full swing. We met up with one of my colleagues and her two children to check out the little carnival.
LB and her new little friend on the balloon ride:

She loved the alligator roller coaster:

But the girls loved the Bulgy ride the best. They rode it twice, and it was manned by a true carney, an old, wizened guy with no teeth who kept audibly burping and shooing away older kids by yelling, "This one here's for the youn 'uns!"

After the carnival, we headed down to the main street to watch the Grand Parade.
And in the evening, we headed off to dinner with friends. Tom made these beautiful red velvet cupcakes,

and LB wore this pretty blue blouse that she got for her 2nd birthday from friends back in Riverside. I can't believe that she'll be three in a couple of weeks.

  1. Wow. She's turning three? How'd that happen? That Fordham is quite the baker/chef! So glad you're getting good weather up there. Much love!
